Table Tent Approval

Approval requests for table tents at the residential dining commons should be sent to Dining (dining@uchicago.edu)

Table Tent Policy:

  • All table tents have to be approved by UChicago Dining
  • All requests must be submitted at least 5 days prior to the posting date
  • The “table tent”  MUST BE 3.6 x 8.5 and fit inside one panel of the acrylic sign holders. 
  • Tri-fold table tents on tables will not be permitted
  • Table tents are permitted to be displayed for 7 days at most, Monday – Sunday
  • Unapproved table tents will be removed
  • Table tent advertisement must be for campus events ONLY
  • All table tents must include the name of the sponsoring department or student group, a contact name for questions, and the date for removal of the table tent
  • To submit a request for approval of your table tents in the dining commons, please email dining@uchicago.edu with the table tent design attached
  • Additionally, the following information should be included in your e-mail:
    • Dates requested for posting
    • Name of Department/RSO
    • Contact person for Department/RSO, including email address
    • Date for removal of the table tent

 Additionally, to improve the process, we are implementing the following:

  • Make an appointment between 8:30-4:30 on the Monday that you are to place your flyers at Bartlett
    • You will be required to place your table tents in Bartlett, before proceeding to the other three Dining Commons
    • This will ensure that we are able to walk you through which side you are to place your table tent for that week
  • Please make sure all flyers have a removal date
  • You are responsible for removing the flyer of the previous group

The Center for Leadership & Involvement (RC 006) must approve the table tents for the C-Shop & Hutchinson Commons.
