Community Action Reaching Every Student (C.A.R.E.S.) is a food-insecurity initiative that offers sustenance to both undergraduate and graduate students who may face hunger or opt to skip meals during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks. It is funded by UChicago Dining, Chartwells Higher Education, and the gracious support of our students on meal plans.

Undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Chicago.
How Can I Help?
Students on meal plans can donate unused guest swipes. Watch our instructional video to find out how.
How Many Meals Can I Donate?
You can donate up to four unused guest swipes per quarter.
How many Maroon Dollars can I donate?
You can donate up to $10 per quarter.

No. This option is only available in the app.
What else can I do with the app?
The GET app allows you to see past transactions and balances of meal plans, Maroon Dollars, and Phoenix cASH. All students can add Phoenix cASH directly through their phones. Off campus students can also purchase meal plans in the app.
