2024/25 Meal Plans

UChicago Dining offers a variety of meal plans to meet the needs of those in the campus community.  As part of the housing contract, students living on campus are required to have a meal plan and are assigned a default meal plan.  What year of your undergraduate career and room type will determine your default meal plan for those living in University housing.

The Meal Plan Change Period Has Closed

Off Campus students are still able to purchase the Park, Midway, Travel, and Off-Campos 10-Pack Meal Plans.

Academic Year Meal Plans

Student’s living on-campus and off-campus are eligible to purchase the Unlimited, Phoenix and Apartment Meal Plans.

Students living On-Campus

Meal plan charges are based on your year in college and housing assignment and will be reflected on your first bill. 

Unlimited Meal Plan - $2,660 per quarter

Default meal plan for 1st year students.

Default meal plan for 2nd year students not living in an apartment.

Dining Commons Benefits:

  • Unlimited swipes
  • 10 to-go swipes
  • 5 guest swipes

 Additional Benefits:

  • 3 meal exchanges
  • $100 Maroon Dollars

Phoenix Meal Plan - $2,660 per quarter

2nd-4th year students are eligible to upgrade to this meal plan.

Dining Commons Benefits:

  • 150 swipes
  • 10 to-go swipes
  • 5 guest swipes

 Additional Benefits:

  • 15 meal exchanges, deducted from total swipes
  • $150 Maroon Dollars

    Apartment Meal Plan - $1,885 per quarter

    Default meal plan for 2nd-4th year students living in an on-campus apartment.

    Dining Commons Benefits:

    • 90 swipes
    • 10 to-go swipes
    • 5 guest swipes

     Additional Benefits:

    • 8 meal exchanges, deducted from total swipes above
    • $200 Maroon Dollars

      NEW On-Campus Meal Plan Options for 3rd and 4th year students

      For rising 3rd and 4th year students living in on-campus housing only, the new Quad plan will cost approximately 20% less than the Unlimited plan and the new Maroon plan is an even greater value as it will cost approximately 30% less than the Unlimited plan.

      Maroon Meal Plan - $1,886 per quarter

      Default meal plan for all 3rd and 4th year students living in a single or double on-campus housing only. 

      Dining Commons Benefits:

      • 75 swipes
      • 10 to-go swipes
      • 5 guest swipes

       Additional Benefits:

      • 8 meal exchanges, deducted from total swipes
      • $425 Maroon Dollars

        Quad Meal Plan - $2,128 per quarter

        Eligible for upgrade for 3rd and 4th year students living in on-campus housing only.

        Dining Commons Benefits:

        • 100 swipes
        • 10 to-go swipes
        • 5 guest swipes

         Additional Benefits:

        • 20 meal exchanges, deducted from total swipes

          Off-Campus Only Meal Plans

          These next options are geared towards the needs of those students, both undergraduate and graduate, faculty, and staff living off-campus.

          Students living Off-Campus

          Are not assigned a meal plan, but are welcomed to enroll in a meal plan beginning September 9th, by  visiting get.cbord.com/uchicago. 

          The Unlimited, Phoenix and Apartment meal plan will continue to be available for purchase to all students through the first week of each quarter. 

          Off-Campus Meal Plan - $171 per pack

          Dining Commons Benefits:

          • 10 swipes per pack
          • Students can purchase up to 6 packs per quarter

            Park Meal Plan - $168 per pack

            Dining Commons Benefits:

            • 2 swipes

            Additional Benefits:

            • 1 meal exchange, deducted from total swipes
            • $120 Maroon Dollars

              Travel Meal Plan - $280 per pack

              Dining Commons Benefits:

              • 4 swipes

              Additional Benefits:

              • 2 meal exchanges, deducted from total swipes

                Midway Meal Plan - $527 per pack
